• The price-history chart no longer goes blank when currency rates are stale - if fresh exchange rates aren't available, the chart now converts with the last known rates and says so, instead of refusing to draw.
• Catalog pages stopped showing placeholder names in titles - deep catalog pages whose items had no recorded name used to put placeholder text into the browser title and link previews. They now fall back to the series name.
• The achievements tile handles an empty start gracefully - when nothing is measurable yet, the dashboard's achievements tile now shows the same quiet dashed treatment as the other empty tiles.

Improvements

• Search results read properly on a phone - long item names and product lines were cut down to a sliver on small screens, so two similar items looked identical. Names now wrap across lines, and the franchise and product line sit on their own line beneath.
• Search panel actions are always there on touch screens - the preview and more-actions buttons used to appear only on hover, which a phone never has. They now stay visible.
• A gentler first-time search - the Holy Grail search in setup used to send a request on every keystroke; it now waits until you pause typing, which is kinder on mobile connections.

Bug Fixes

• The dashboard no longer trips an error on load - collectors east of Greenwich saw an error on every visit because acquisition dates were worked out in two different time zones. Dates now settle to your local zone once the page loads.
• Crashes are now reported, not just shown - when something does go wrong, the error screen now tells us about it so it can be fixed.

• Shared collections are strictly view-only - a collection you share by link could only ever be looked at, but the underlying access was broader than it needed to be. It is now read-only at the source, with an automated check so it stays that way.

• Signing up no longer stalls on a passing glitch - a brief hiccup while checking whether signups were open used to tell new visitors the beta was closed. Signups now stay open through a moment's trouble.
• Saving your profile no longer trips an internal error - a leftover badge routine failed quietly every time a profile was saved. It has been removed; badges were never affected.

• The setup wizard states the free plan's limit up front - step 1 now says free accounts can follow up to 2 product lines, instead of refusing only after you tried a third.
• Step 2 offers the lines you actually picked - "Add items manually" used to list the entire catalogue; it now shows just the product lines you chose in step 1 (or everything, if you skipped that step).

• Adding your first items no longer ends setup early - adding an item in step 2 used to drop you onto the dashboard before the final step, leaving setup half-finished. The wizard now carries on where you left off until you finish or skip it.

• The acquisition map shows every pin - the map opened centred on your home at a fixed zoom, so a purchase made far away could sit outside the frame and the map looked empty. It now frames your home and every acquisition pin together.

• Public profiles now show your whole collection - visitors to your profile page previously saw only the handful of items featured in a public exhibit. With "Show my collection" on, they now see everything you own — item names and statuses only, never your purchase prices or notes.

• "Show my collection" switch - one switch on Account → Preferences makes your public profile, public exhibits and public wishlists visible to anyone with the link — no Aecura account needed. Turn it off and those pages go private again. On by default.

• Public exhibits work for visitors again - exhibits showed "Unknown / No image" for every item when the viewer wasn't signed in, and public wishlists never rendered for anyone but their owner. Both now load properly for visitors.

• A "Where to buy" section on item pages - catalog items now show live retailer listings: the store, the region it ships from, and the price in the store's own currency, cheapest first.
• Every offer says when it was checked - each listing carries a freshness stamp ("checked today", "checked 3 days ago"), and anything not verified within the last 7 days drops off the page rather than leaving a stale promise.
• Sale and stock markers - sale, clearance, pre-order and low-stock listings are labelled, so you know what you're clicking into before you leave.
• All regions, clearly labelled - a store selling the same item in the US and the UK shows both, each flagged by region. No guessing at your location, no hidden filtering.

• Blank catalog images fixed at the source - some images added through our curation tools were stored without a working address and showed as blank; uploads now record everything they need to display correctly.

• Big images no longer bounce - high-resolution press shots used to fail import entirely and leave items with no artwork. Oversized images are now automatically resized to fit, so more catalog items show their pictures.
• Images arrive labelled correctly - stored images now record what they truly are, so previews and downloads always come through in the right format.

• Currency conversion survives outages - if our exchange-rate source is unreachable, converted prices keep showing using the last known rates instead of failing with an error.

• Sealed box sets say how they're valued - Every sealed box figure now carries its provenance: the month of its latest market evidence, a clear "estimated from components" label when no sealed sale has been observed, or "undated evidence" when a price has no recorded date.
• Opening a box is framed as collecting, not trading - The open-box flow no longer dangles a "potential value if opened" gain. It shows the sealed value and the components' combined value as two separate dated facts - "each figure is its own market evidence" - so the decision stays yours.
• Your collection total tells you what's estimated - The value summary now notes how much of your sealed box-set figure is estimated from component prices rather than backed by a sealed sale.
• Market freshness now counts your boxes - The "based on recent market data" readout includes sealed box sets, and a sealed box with out-of-date pricing now invites a market-data refresh.

• Search shows your real status - The search palette badged anything you'd ever touched as "Owned", including wishlist-only items. Results now tell the truth: a wishlist heart for wanted items, an incoming badge for orders and pre-orders, and Owned only when you actually hold a copy.
• Store-imported items show their real details - Items that arrived via a storefront import could display raw import plumbing — stylesheet fragments in the description, web addresses, stock fields, internal ids. The item panel now shows only the fields that belong to the product line, and affected descriptions were repaired from their original sources.
• No more duplicate titles in descriptions - Item descriptions no longer open by repeating the item's name as a heading.

• The catalogue wall keeps its dark shelf - Two images photographed on white studio backgrounds slipped past the launch-day transparency check. They're excluded, so every tile sits cleanly on the shelf.

• Box-set adds no longer error - Adding a box set through the standard add path could fail with a database error. It's repaired — and wishlisting a box set no longer risks counting its contents as owned.

• Every page keeps its security protections - On requests where your session refreshed behind the scenes (roughly once an hour), pages were served without their security headers. The protections now survive the refresh, and the light/dark theme guard runs properly on those requests instead of being silently blocked.

• Discovery and collection pages got dramatically faster - The visibility checks behind the catalogue were rebuilt from the ground up: discovery counts that could take several seconds now answer in milliseconds, and a typical collection page reads nearly twenty times faster.

• Table pages show where you are on a phone - The "Page N of M" readout hid itself on small screens, leaving four unlabelled arrows and no sense of position. It's now always visible.

• Items arrive with fuller details - Behind-the-scenes import improvements mean new catalogue items carry more of the data their sources hold — specifications, variant details and release information that used to arrive blank — and past imports are being filled in the same way.

• New series appear for you automatically - If you track particular series in a product line, a newly published series in that line used to be invisible until you found it yourself. It now joins your tracking the moment it publishes, and Discovery reflects it immediately.
• The news archive has pages now - The news listing stopped at the fifty newest posts with no way to reach anything older. A pager now takes you through the whole archive, and filters search everything rather than just the newest fifty.

• Item cards inside articles work - Cards embedded in an article now load properly, their Wishlist / On Order / Owned buttons respond immediately, and if you're not signed in they say so and offer to log you in instead of sitting greyed out. Sealed copies now count as owned on those cards too.
• The Sign Up buttons on news pages go somewhere again - Both the header and footer sign-up buttons on public news pages pointed at a page that didn't exist.
• Readable badges and bigger targets - Review score badges now clear the contrast floor, gallery controls are finger-sized, and a batch of screen-reader repairs rides along.
• Retail price shows for more items - Items whose only retail signal came through their shop listing now show that price instead of none at all.

• News articles keep their specification, FAQ and gallery blocks - A publishing bug could silently strip an article's structured blocks between the editor and the published page, so an article could go out missing its specs table, FAQ or gallery. That can no longer happen.

• One appraised value, everywhere - The dashboard, statistics and collection pages each calculated your collection's value slightly differently — sealed box sets and purchases in other currencies were the usual culprits. All three now share one calculation, so the number that greets you on the dashboard is the number every other page repeats. Because this is a correction, your appraisal may shift once — most for collectors with sealed box sets or non-US purchases.
• "Held" now counts your sealed items - The held figure on the collection page skipped items marked sealed, so a sealed figure counted on the dashboard but not on the page you manage it from. The held count, its completion bar and its filter all include them now.
• One wishlist number - The wishlists page header could disagree with the wanted count every other page shows. It now reports the same number everywhere.
• Filter counts tell the truth - Status and series counts in the collection filters included deleted copies and stopped counting at 1,000 items. Large collections now see accurate tallies.
• Gains and losses measure what you own - Portfolio performance quietly included sold, transferred and wishlist copies in its cost basis. It now measures exactly the items in your collection — and "top value items" can no longer feature something you don't own.

Improvements

• The item panel opens on the answer - Opening an item from the grid now always starts on Overview, instead of whichever tab the previous item was left on. Stepping to the next item keeps your tab, so comparing market data across a series still works.
• Every overlay is the same product - Dialogs, sheets and side panels had drifted into different backdrops, surfaces and close buttons. They now share one shell — the close button stays put in long overlays, the mobile menu no longer shows two overlapping close buttons, and depth and glow effects render as designed.
• Real thumb targets on touch screens - Buttons, inputs and pickers in the item panel now grow to a proper touch size on phones and tablets — desktop keeps its density.
• Better with a screen reader - Controls in the item panel that never announced a name now do, headings run in order, and deleting a photo asks through the same styled dialog as every other destructive action.
• One status colour vocabulary - The panel had its own colour table that disagreed with the rest of the app. An item's status is now the same colour in the panel as on the card that opened it, including the market confidence meter.
• A quieter collection page - The amber "items in series you don't track yet" banner is gone from the collection and wishlist pages. Tracking a line still works through Discovery, or automatically when you add an item from one.

Bug Fixes

• Choosing a new grail can no longer lose your grail - If the swap failed partway, you could be left with no grail and no message. It now rolls back safely, tells you what happened in plain words, and names the item that's about to become a white whale before you confirm.
• Adding a copy shows up instantly - The Add Copy button waited a full round-trip before the new copy appeared — easily read as the button not working. The list now moves the moment you tap.
• The Origin story form fits again - On phones, its Cancel button rendered past the edge of the screen and couldn't be reached. The section now matches the rest of the panel, and its "I don't know" option says exactly what it will do.
• The cover-photo badge renders - The gallery never recognised which photo was the cover, so the badge never appeared. Layout repairs ride along: the acquisition timeline uses its full width, and status badges sit properly on the photo plate.

What's New

• One design across the whole app - Every signed-in page — dashboard, collection, item details, checklist, timeline, wishlists, discovery, statistics, account and more — has been rebuilt in one consistent visual language. The same panels, headings and figures everywhere, and one colour vocabulary: a status is the same colour on the dashboard, a collection card, or a checklist row.
• Navigation that's grouped and labelled - The sidebar is organised into named, collapsible sections with one consistent vocabulary — and narrowing it to icons is now a properly designed mode instead of a broken one.
• Jump anywhere with ⌘K - The command palette is now available to every collector: every destination and action is one keystroke away, with catalog search handed straight to the search sheet.
• Dark, always - Light mode is retired. The app paints dark before the page even loads, so there's no white flash on the way in and no half-light page from a stale preference.
• A dashboard that shows your collection - Your pieces appear as actual photographs at their true colours instead of icons. New Acquisitions is a real grid, hovering zooms, and the hunt is a full-width band that puts your grail directly beside the rest of your wishlist.
• One toolbar for the collection - Franchise, product line and series are now scope pills under the page title, with Checklist, Sweep and Import gathered beside them. "Advanced" is now simply "Filters", and the Checklist link follows the scope you're actually viewing.

Bug Fixes

• Franchise pages work again - Every franchise page returned "not found", and once reachable would have rendered empty. Star Trek now shows all 665 of its items.
• The Holy Grail journey grid renders - The journey view had never worked for any collector with a grail set. It does now.
• The wishlist picker opens again - With more than one wishlist, tapping the heart on a card silently added the item to your default list instead of asking which one. It asks again.
• No more duplicate wishlists - Adding two items at almost the same moment could create a second copy of your default list. Existing duplicates have been merged back into one, and it can no longer happen.
• Tooltips no longer flash after a tap - Labels now appear on hover and keyboard focus, where they're genuinely useful — not after every tap on the way to a new page.
• Readability and layout repairs - Figures and labels that fell below the accessible contrast minimum were corrected, and pages that could scroll sideways on a phone no longer do.

• See every achievement from the dashboard - The Achievements card now has a "View all" button that opens the full list — earned achievements with their dates, and locked ones with live progress bars toward each goal. Opening it also re-checks your milestones, so anything you've already qualified for is awarded on the spot.
• Ownership bars for every year in the jump menu - In year-grouped product lines, the year sidebar previously showed real progress bars only for years you'd scrolled through. Every year now shows its true owned / on-order / wishlist split up front, even in 1,000+ item lines.

Bug Fixes

• Achievement progress counts what you actually own - Item-count achievements were counting wishlist entries, sold items, and duplicate copies — so their totals disagreed with the dashboard's Owned tile. They now use the same counting engine as the rest of the app, and the card's "unlocked" total is no longer capped at 5.
• Search without the navigator bar in the way - Searching your collection used to leave the franchise → product line → series bar on screen even though it didn't reflect the items found. It now steps aside while you search, and search links always cover your whole collection — so the item you searched for shows up.
• Dashboard images sit on a proper backdrop - Product photos with transparent backgrounds rendered against a dark grey panel on the dashboard; they now sit on the same white plate used across the rest of the app.

Bug Fixes

• Share links and page previews point to the right place - A handful of pages built their absolute links — social-media preview cards and exhibit share links among them — from the wrong source, with one even falling back to the wrong domain. Everything now uses the site's single configured address.

• Market value vs retail, at a glance - Where an item has both a market value and a retail price, its market details now show how the two compare — for example "+12% vs retail", or "≈ retail" when they're within a few percent of each other.

• Market-value details always reachable - The "where this estimate comes from" panel now appears for items that have a market estimate but no individual price history yet, and it stays available even if part of the item's catalog record fails to load.

• Jump to any year in your collection - In year-grouped product lines, the year sidebar now lists every year up front — including ones that haven't loaded yet — each with its item count. Click any year and the list reopens right there, with a "Viewing from …" pill and a one-click way back to the top.

• Smooth scrolling through large year-grouped lines - Big lines used to load pages in one order but display them in another, so newly loaded items could insert above where you were reading and yank the page around. Everything now loads and displays in the same order, and even 1,000+ item lines stay responsive.
• Checklists cover the whole line again - Checklist views and PDF exports silently stopped after the first 60 items of a line; they now include every item in the current view.
• Opening a line you don't collect shows the right view - Following a link into a year-grouped product line you have no items in used to fall back to the wrong grouping style; the view now always matches how the line is organised.

• The value chart now lives inside the dashboard hero - It replaces the hero's sparkline in place, keeping the same clean look while adding the dated axis, hover tooltip, and a subtle 3M / 6M / All range toggle.

• Search results show item images again - Catalog search — both the global search bar and the Search Catalog page — had silently fallen back to placeholder icons for every result. Thumbnails now come through the same image pipeline as the rest of the app.
• The Search Catalog page returns results again - The page always reported "No results" even for terms the global search matched. It now searches correctly and shows release-year badges too.

What's New

• Value over time chart on the dashboard - A new chart plots your weekly appraised-value snapshots on a real dated axis, with 3M / 6M / All range toggles and a tooltip showing the exact value on each date — in your display currency. It appears automatically once your account has at least two snapshots of history.

Bug Fixes

• Dashboard and Statistics now always agree - The two pages previously disagreed on your headline numbers — Statistics left sealed box sets out of its Owned and Total Items counts while the dashboard included them. Both now share a single counting engine, and the Statistics Owned tile notes how many sealed box sets are included.
• No more duplicate value in the dashboard hero - The stat strip under the big appraised value repeated the same figure in a small "Value" tile; the duplicate is gone and the strip now shows Items, Owned, Incoming and Wishlist.
• Chart dates render correctly in every timezone - Snapshot dates could display one day early for collectors west of UTC; dates are now parsed in your local timezone.

• Numbered bonus ships file correctly again - In the collection issue view, items whose issue number carries a variant letter (like "B13A") or an edition tag (like "B2 (M2)") were landing under "Specials & Unnumbered" even though they're properly numbered. They now fold into their correct issue batch alongside the rest of the series.

• Aecura is officially out of beta - 🎉 After months of building alongside our earliest collectors, Aecura is now generally available. Sign-ups are open to everyone, and the paid Collector plan is live alongside the free plan. Thank you to everyone who tested, reported bugs, and helped shape what Aecura became.

• Rights-holder credits on collection and catalog pages - Every collection view and public catalog page now shows the appropriate copyright and trademark attribution for the franchises and brands it features — the franchise's rights holder, each brand's maker, and an acknowledgement that all product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

• Your plan updates the moment it changes - The plan shown in the sidebar used to lag behind after you created an account or switched plans until you refreshed. It now updates on its own as soon as your plan changes.

• No more sideways scroll on the dashboard and other pages - At laptop widths the main content could push past the right edge of the window, letting the whole page slide sideways. The layout now shrinks to fit its column, so pages stay put across every screen size.
